Since early 2020, The Bellbrook Presbyterian Church has provided milk, butter, eggs, and fresh fruits and vegetables to local families experiencing food insecurity. Working in partnership with The Bellbrook Sugarcreek Community Support Center, we serve an average of 60 households per week - - 250 or so individual people. About half of those served are children.
This amazing program supports the health and wellbeing of those served. We are grateful to a number of Foundations and grantmakers, along with congregational and community support, who partner with us to make this program possible.
Working in partnership with The Ohio State University's Extension office in Dayton, we provide cooking classes to adults and youth who are interested in learning how to improve their nutrition, basic cooking skills, budgeting and shopping skills.
We provide meeting and activity space for many programs and services in our community including: The Green County Library, Bellbrook; The Bellbrook Historical Society; and three Scouting troops. Local piano teachers hold their recitals in our sanctuary, National Honor Society has held training for students in our building, and many other groups use the facility throughout the year. We seek to serve by supporting local programs that benefit all of us.r
The first Thursday of each month, toddlers and a parent or caregiver are invited to join in a craft/activity time with other toddlers and caregivers. This program meets from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Registration is required.
